Hi, we’re the New York Music Co-op!
We’re a group of teachers who wanted to bring equitable lessons to our students and community. Our cooperative business model allows us to bring you the best teachers at the best rates while providing low-income students with subsidized lessons and workshops.
Why a music cooperative?
We set out to create an equitable business where students can receive lessons with New York’s finest music educators. A co-op allows us as teachers to retain independence while building on the strength of the New York Network of Worker Cooperatives. Their guidance has allowed us to develop a business which not only brings you the best, but also gives back to the community in the form of subsidized workshops and lessons as well as happier teachers who run their studio the way they choose.
